We are a purpose-led organisation, and this year we committed to focusing on that even more by including provisions in our Memorandum that embed a commitment to people and planet, that are inspired by the B Corp requirements.
It is increasingly important for businesses to be able to evidence their positive social and environmental impacts – and B Corp is one way to demonstrate priorities beyond profit.
We’re not looking to become a B Corp accredited (we are aware of the scepticism) but we believe in what it is trying to achieve and want to protect our mission and values as the Chamber evolves.
We want to support our members and to have a material positive impact on society and the environment.
