Drumroll please…We are thrilled to announce the three finalists for the inaugural People & Planet Business of the Year Award

We’re pleased to announce the three finalists for the inaugural People & Planet Business of the Year Award: Camp de Rêves, Sure, and Levin Sources. Each of these businesses has shown a remarkable dedication to sustainability, community engagement, and creating a better future for Guernsey.

With 16 entries from across various industries, the decision was incredibly difficult for our judging panel. The diversity of approaches to ‘People and Planet’ was remarkable, with businesses working towards Guernsey’s net zero 2050 target while also creating environments where their teams can thrive.

As judge Ben Le Huray of award sponsor Little Green noted,

The passion and commitment from each business was truly inspiring, with every finalist making meaningful changes in their own way. It filled me with pride to see how seriously businesses are taking both human and environmental challenges. It’s clear that Guernsey’s future is in good hands.

.One of the finalists, Camp de Rêves, shared,

“We’re truly honoured to be shortlisted for the People and Planet Award. Sustainability and community are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s especially meaningful for small businesses like ours to be recognised for our efforts.”

.

Our second finalist, Sure.  Human Resources Director, Lucienne De La Mare added,

“The People & Planet award acknowledges two vital elements of being a responsible part of our island community and we’re proud to be recognised for our environmental and people-focused efforts to create a better future for Guernsey.

It’s an exciting time for businesses in the island as technology continues to evolve, but we cannot forget our beautiful home and the people, including our team, who make it so special.”

The third finalist, Levin Sources, Founder Estelle Levin-Nally commented,

We can’t live our modern lives without minerals, yet minerals value chains presents enormous threats to people and planet if we carry on in a “business as usual” way. I founded Levin Sources in 2010 – to shift mindsets, policy, regulations, business practices, and systems towards more sustainable systems of production, consumption and disposal of minerals.

Momentum is gathering and we’re proud of the role we’ve had to play. We’re delighted to have our work recognised—thank you!

We look forward to celebrating these inspiring businesses soon, take a look at the videos below to learn more about why they are in the top three and we will be crowning our winner at the Chamber Gala Dinner on the 14th of November.
