We can confirm that Guernsey Chamber of Commerce President, Stephen Rouxel, has advised us that he will be standing as a candidate in the forthcoming by-election. When Stephen informed the Board that he was considering putting himself forward, it was agreed he would immediately recuse himself from all Chamber activities and responsibilities to ensure appropriate separation during this period.
This announcement comes at the conclusion of Stephen’s two-year term as President. We’d like to recognise his contribution to the organisation during his tenure, and wish him well in the election.
In the interim, Vice President Brooke Kenyon will step into the role to provide continuity and leadership for the organisation until our AGM in the spring, when our annual elections will take place.
If you are interested in playing an active role in Chamber, whether at Board level or through one of our working groups, we would encourage you to get in touch to discuss how you can get involved.
