The International Stock Exchange (TISE) has made a series of appointments and promotions at the start of its 25th anniversary year.
Andy Watchman has been appointed as an Executive Director to the Board of The International Stock Exchange Group Limited, the parent company of the Group. Mr Watchman has been Chief Financial Officer since May 2021, having joined TISE in October 2017 as a Senior Finance Manager. Prior to joining the Exchange, he worked for 12 years at Kleinwort Benson in Guernsey in several senior finance positions.
Cameron Craine has been appointed as an Executive Director to the Board of The International Stock Exchange Authority Limited, the regulatory arm of the Exchange. Originally from New Zealand, Mr Craine joined the Exchange in May 2011 and, as well as being appointed a Director of the Authority, he has also been promoted to Head of Listings.
At the same time, Victoria Cameron has been appointed as Compliance Officer, Money Laundering Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer. Ms Cameron has been Head of Compliance at TISE since July 2022, having previously worked in a variety of senior compliance and business management roles in the UK, including latterly as Head of Compliance for a cross-border financial services firm.
Additional staff promotions with effect from 1 January 2023 comprise Tom Mahé who has been promoted to Financial Accountant, Vaughn Botes who has been promoted to Private Markets Executive and Olivia Ephgrave who has been promoted to Analyst within the Listings Department.
Cees Vermaas, CEO at TISE, said: “I’d like to welcome Andy, Cameron and Victoria to their respective positions and congratulate Tom, Vaughn and Olivia on their promotions. These appointments and promotions reflect the dedication they have shown to their personal development and the significant contribution each of them has made to the success of the organisation. As we enter a landmark year for the Exchange, I look forward to working with them in their new roles as we continue to deliver on our strategy to diversify and grow the business.”
With the Exchange first opening for business in October 1998, TISE will be marking its silver anniversary through a series of initiatives during 2023. It was recently announced that despite the difficult macro-economic environment, 2022 was the second-best year for new listings in the Exchange’s history, with the 956 new listings last year only surpassed by the record 1,111 new listings during 2021. This contributed to TISE entering its anniversary year with a record total of 4,020 listings on its market, which is more than at any other time since the Exchange’s inception.
