Skipton International has announced the appointment of Bobby Ndawula as its new Chair.

Bobby joins Shelagh Mason, Mark Bright and Tom Quigley, all Non-Executive Directors on the Skipton Board, alongside Jim Coupe, and Jonathan Dell from the bank, and Andy Nelson from shareholder Skipton Building Society.

Bobby is an experienced finance professional. He is a chartered accountant who is Group Finance Director for Skipton Building Society and a member of the Skipton Building Society Board since 2015. Most recently Bobby was a board member of Connells, the UK’s largest corporate estate agency following its successful purchase of Countrywide earlier this month. He’s also a Trustee of Yorkshire Cancer Research.

“Being part of a values-led organisation that has its customers and colleagues at the heart of everything it does is important to me and keeps me highly motivated. I enjoy leading teams that embrace change and continuously improve the financial strength of Skipton for the long-term benefit of our customers. My ambition for the business is for it to continue to grow sustainably, so we can continue to help more people achieve their financial goals.”

Jim Coupe, Managing Director, Skipton International, said: “We are delighted that Bobby has taken over as Chair, as he is an expert in his field and shares Skipton’s values. I’m sure he will play an integral role here at Skipton, as we continue to grow the business and our offering to the local and international markets.”
