Join the Guernsey Green Ribbon Pledge on 21 June 2022 at 7pm in the market square, where together, you will form a human ribbon around the streets of St Peter Port to show we care about our Island of Guernsey.

“It’s surely our responsibility to do everything within our power to create a planet that provides a home not just for us, but for all life on earth” – Sir David Attenborough

“You are never too small to make a difference” – Greta Thunberg

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING?

In May 2020, the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure of the States of Guernsey developed the Strategy for Nature Plan.

In August 2020, The Climate Action Plan 2020 – 2050 was approved by the States Assembly.

Having initially not received precedence in the Government Work Plan, it is with relief that Policy and Resources published the latest reiteration of the Government Work Plan to address mitigating climate change as one of its priorities.

As a community we must continue to lobby our Government and support those Deputies who champion Climate Change and are looking to implement legislation changes.
