Three new guidance documents have been published by The Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA), covering:

  1. Data sharing – how to share information about people in an appropriate and lawful way.
  2. Environmental, social, governance (ESG) / sustainability reporting – best practice for collecting data from people in this context.
  3. Section 16 of the Law – how to handle a ‘data subject access request’ when there is information about other individuals involved.

This latest guidance is available on the ODPA’s ‘Guidance’ area where you can find information on many aspects of the Bailiwick’s data protection law. Guidance is issued in accordance with section 61(1) of The Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 and is not to be considered legal advice.
