Victoria Park and Plaza House win awards for Lovell Ozanne at Guernsey Property & Construction Awards

 

Victoria Park was recognised at this year’s Guernsey Property & Construction Awards alongside two other projects by Guernsey architect Lovell Ozanne. The home of Guernsey football won the
Best Large Project award – celebrating the combination of local suppliers and contractors who helped bring the Guernsey Football Association development to life.

The Sustainability Award was presented to Plaza House at Admiral Park, Guernsey’s first BREEAM-rated building, meaning it meets the highest standards in sustainable design. The
Lovell Ozanne-designed project incorporated advanced energy systems, water conversion strategies, and low-carbon transport infrastructure.

Victoria Park, the new Guernsey Football Association home on Victoria Avenue, was delivered in partnership with local contractors and stakeholders, and the £10 million venue now serves as a central hub for community sport and social engagement.

The scale of the project reflects the importance of the build for the local community, commented Andrew Merrett, Director at Lovell Ozanne Architects,

“It was clear from the outset when working on Victoria Park that this facility is going to play a vital role in Guernsey’s sporting present and future; the design and
construction needed to reflect that. Fittingly for a football facility, it was a real team effort to make it happen and we’re proud of the result of that close collaboration.”

Lovell Ozanne was additionally shortlisted for Best Multi-Residential Project for Grange Mews, a 15-unit development in St Peter Port that blends contemporary design with heritage sensitivity.
