The Mainstreaming Of Sustainable Finance: A New Horizon Of Investment Opportunity
The first fringe event of Guernsey’s Sustainable Finance Week takes place on Monday 8th June at 1pm.
Deloitte’s sustainable finance team will bridge the gap between the policymakers and the financial system, discussing the key trends for environmental and social sustainability, what this means for investors and investment managers.
The webinar will be hosted by Deloitte’s Luke O’Brien and Sally Rochester.
Luke O’ Brien has followed the sustainability agenda over the last ten years. He holds an MSc in Ecological Economics, the study of accounting for environmental and social sustainability within our economic system.
Luke previously worked with government and non-governmental organisations before joining Deloitte in 2013. Over the last seven years, he has observed the sustainability within financial services discourse take shape, gaining first-hand experience of how the policy and regulation are disrupting the market. In that time he has worked with banks, asset managers/owners and private equity, advising the boards of companies, CFOs, CROs and Heads of Sustainability on how to respond – integrating ESG within their business model, products and services – and prepare for the transition to a sustainable, net-zero carbon economy.
Sally Rochester is a Director in the Channel Islands advisory team specialising in risk management. She is the Channel Islands lead on Sustainability Services and Green Finance working with the financial services industry to promote awareness and action on sustainability issues.
A member of the Guernsey Finance Green Finance Strategy Group, and supporting community-wide initiatives to support active travel, Sally believes that action should be taken by businesses to support their staff, clients and community achieve their sustainability goals.
This webinar will be hosted on Zoom.
