After the phenomenal success of the inaugural Cherry Godfrey Cup in Jersey in 2024, organisers have confirmed that the next tournament will take place at Victoria Park, Guernsey, on 26–27 June 2026.
The biennial women’s football tournament brings together teams from Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight for two unforgettable days of competition, community and celebration.
Created to shine a spotlight on women’s sport, the Cherry Godfrey Cup aims to inspire the next generation of players while showcasing the power of island communities working together. Tanzy Cherry, Chief Operating Officer at Cherry Godfrey, said:
“We were absolutely blown away by the incredible atmosphere, talent and team spirit at the first Cherry Godfrey Cup in Jersey. Seeing players, supporters and communities from across the islands come together to celebrate women’s football was really special and we can’t wait to see that same energy and passion again in 2026.
This tournament is about so much more than football – it’s about opportunity, pride and creating moments that will inspire future generations. We’re excited to see our islands come together once again and make the 2026 Cherry Godfrey Cup bigger and better than ever.”
The 2026 event will also be the first chance to host the tournament at Guernsey FA’s new ‘Home of Football’ at Victoria Park.
Gary Roberts, Chief Executive of the Guernsey FA, said:
“We are delighted that the Cherry Godfrey Cup 2026 will be held here at Victoria Park. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Guernsey’s new facility on an inter-island stage and to welcome players, supporters and officials from across the islands. We are proud to be part of a tournament that shines a light on women’s football and strengthens the sporting ties between our communities.”
The inaugural 2024 tournament in Jersey drew hundreds of spectators across two days of fixtures and was supported by dozens of local businesses, media outlets and community partners. Organisers are now calling on islanders, businesses and supporters to get behind the 2026 tournament and help make it an even bigger celebration of women’s football.
Full details on fixtures, tickets, and additional event information will be released in the coming months. To stay up to date with the latest news and behind-the-scenes updates, follow the Cherry Godfrey Cup on social media.
