Aurigny, Guernsey’s airline, has announced a new class-leading cabin baggage allowance, offering customers more space and flexibility when travelling than with any other regional airline in the British Isles.

Effective immediately, the allowable cabin baggage dimensions have increased from 55×36×20cm to a roomier 55×40×23cm on routes from Guernsey to the UK and Europe. Volumetrically, that’s 50.6 litres — about 22% more space than the nearest competitor.

Travellers can also bring one small personal item as standard, such as a laptop bag or handbag. The total combined weight of carry-on baggage is up to 10kg.

The positive change is part of Aurigny’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience and responding to customer feedback, facilitated by fleet simplification in Guernsey.

Dave Cox, Head of Ground Operations & Deputy COO, said:

“We’re proud to offer a class-leading cabin baggage allowance at a time when many other airlines are becoming increasingly restrictive and under the spotlight for this issue.

“We understand that people’s personal items and belongings matter. Whether it’s a laptop, medication, or just the things that make you feel at home, you shouldn’t have to fight for space to bring them. At Aurigny, we’re proud to be making it easier for customers to travel with confidence and comfort.”
