The Guernsey Registry is an independent statutory office responsible for the oversight and maintenance of numerous corporate and commercial Registers required under Guernsey legislation.

The Registry’s statutory functions pertain to the following pieces of legislation:
The Companies (Guernsey) Law, 2008, The Limited Partnerships (Guernsey) Law, 1995, The Limited Liability Partnerships (Guernsey) Law, 2013, The Foundations (Guernsey) Law, 2012, The Beneficial Ownership of Legal Persons (Guernsey) Law, 2017.

The Registry is also the Bailiwick of Guernsey Intellectual Property Office.
The Office can provide the first registration of trademarks, Image Rights and Plant Breeders Rights in the Bailiwick, and the re-registration of Patents and Registered Design Rights.

The Registry also functions as the Registrar for Charities and Non Profit Organisation’s in Guernsey and Alderney.

In addition, the Registry is responsible for the collection of the Guernsey Finance Funding Levy on behalf of the Committee for Economic Development.
