Every month, we pose questions to a Chamber member. This time it’s Claire & Andrew from MAP Health

1. Who are you & what do you do?

We’re Claire Reach and Andrew Melton, co-founders of MAP Health.

We have built a global-first platform empowering medical clinics in the UK to deliver a premium, scalable medical wellness service.

We do this by combining blood work, genetics, lifestyle data and continuous glucose monitoring, to turn complex information into clear, practical plans people can actually follow. Our mission is to make health optimisation an effortless part of everyday life!  As we are based in Guernsey, we also offer the programme directly to individuals here.

2. How did you end up doing this work?

MAP Health grew out of our own experiences. Claire’s background is in pharma and medical wellness, Andrew’s is in health optimisation and private healthcare. We met working on GLP-1 projects (Wegovy/Ozempic and Saxenda) and kept coming back to the same frustration: too much health advice is generic, fragmented, or hard to apply in real life.

3. What’s the ‘why’ behind your work?

Better health should not be reserved for people with unlimited time, money, or access. We want to make personalised health more practical, more accessible, and more useful, so people can understand what works for them and make changes that last.

For the clinics, there is huge organisational complexity in introducing a medical wellness service. By reducing that complexity and improving the commercial viability of a wellness programme, we believe we can completely change the way society approaches health and wellness.

4. What’s something most people don’t know about your company, but they should?

Other than being GEIS approved?? ha! MAP Health is built for real life, not perfection. Our plans are highly personalised, but they are designed to work around busy schedules, travel, family life, and everything else that can make consistency hard.

5. Tell us about a moment you felt proud of the difference your work made?

As a health and wellness business, we are quite fortunate to make a real impact on both our users and the clinics we partner with.

Seeing the lightbulb moment when someone realises the why behind how they feel and learns what will work for them, that’s pretty special.

6. What’s shaped how you think about your work?

Andrew: Drive by Daniel H Pink – I like everything he’s written actually. but Drive especially speaks to me because the idea of keeping oneself (and a team) motivated, is vital to personal and professional success.

Claire: Podcasts for me. Outside business I’m a  triathlon nerd so ProTriNews is my go-to every week and then I love hearing about women founded businesses so Ladies who Launch or Aspire with Emma Grede

6. Tea, coffee, or something stronger? (And where do you enjoy it?)

We both love a coffee, usually. Claire has 3 boys, so caffeine isn’t optional in her household!
