Despite his love of vintage vinyl, Vaughan Davies doesn’t dwell on the past.

After a 40 year career in the travel industry, Vaughan embarked on a musical journey inspired by the vinyl revival.

‘In 2015 I suffered a severe stroke and was looking at ways recuperate and above all be my own boss again’.

In 2016 after a successful Christmas stint as a pop up shop the dream became a reality.

Four laters later in 2020, the shop expanded into no. 41 Commercial Arcade – ironically the same premises that Vaughan started in travel at Bellingham in 1979.

However covid forced the closure of the store for many months and Vaughan will be the first to admit that it has been difficult to survive in retail. The store has evolved with a revolving door of locals and casual buyers, buying and talking music, creating a musical hub in the heart of St Peter Port.
