We wish to inform you that HRMC has confirmed there will be no changes to the current CNCD process in line with the CDS migration timeline. Businesses who use the CNCD process for transferring non-controlled goods from the UK to the Channel Islands can confidently continue their operations as is. There is no requirement to transition to CDS declarations by 30 November 2023, or by 30 March 2024.
The HRMC is keen on collaborating closely with all teams and relevant stakeholders to review the existing process and seek areas for improvement. They absolutely recognise the need to balance the range of objectives and interests we all have, including ensuring we are not placing any disproportionate burdens on trade between our territories. HRMC acknowledges the importance of providing ample notice for any forthcoming changes, ensuring businesses have sufficient time for preparation.
