The voting has now closed, and we are very pleased to announce that the Guernsey Employment Trust has been chosen as our charity of the year.
Voting was open to all members of the Chamber of Commerce, which consists of over 700 corporations.
The Guernsey Employment Trust works with disabled and disadvantaged people to prepare for, find and maintain work in Guernsey. Their services are free, and are designed to help not only the people with disabilities but also to support employers and respond to the needs of the disability community.
Working closely with charities and not-for-profits is very important to us here at the Chamber, and we will be supporting GET along with many other charitable organisations across the year. We understand and appreciate the vital work done by the third sector for our island community, and are always happy to help with promotion, business support and the offer of our Chamber offices at a discounted rate.
