Chamber and the Guernsey Construction Forum held a first joint gathering at our Business Development Centre recently. The insight breakfast was attended by a broad range of sector representatives, together with politicians, senior officers and Chamber representatives.
They were welcomed by Chamber President Elaine Gray and the session was led by John Bampkin of Norman Piette Group who is Chair of the GCF, together with James Barker who leads Chamber’s Infrastructure and Planning policy group.
The breakfast was hailed a success by around 50 attendees and formed the first of a regular series of engagements as part of which the GCF and Chamber will work together to encourage development of this crucially important economic area for the benefit of the island as a whole.
The meeting enjoyed viewing a film created for the GBTEA by James Harrison showing the breadth of opportunity in the sector for those starting work or looking at a new career path.
