Every month we pose 7 questions to a Chamber member; this month it’s the team from Leaders Consultancy – Phil, Nicole and Kareena.

1. Who are you?

There are a few different ways to answer this! We are an enthusiastic team from different walks of life, focused on all things leadership. We use data driven insights and challenging conversations, to propel excellent leadership.

2. How long have you been in business?

7 years! Where did that time go?

3. How did you get into this?

We all have our own very unique journey. Between the 3 of us we have leadership experience in the finance sector, education, church leadership and the third sector. What I believe brought us together at Leaders is a shared passion to positively contribute to something much bigger than ourselves.

4. What’s the ‘why’ behind the work you do?

We strongly believe that the best leaders create thriving workplaces where everyone can flourish and organisations enjoy success. We want to encourage and support leaders to be the best version of themselves, to be courageous, act with integrity and overcome the challenges they face.

5. What’s your process for coming up with your solutions/offers?

It’s always relational. We want to understand our clients and tailor solutions to meet their needs. This might involve using our psychometric surveys – these are brilliant tools that help to focus conversations and identify strengths and areas to strengthen.

We love to co-produce sessions and programmes with leaders, focusing on the three pillars of excellent leadership – moral courage, authentic trust and living legacy. We share ideas and possibilities and create ways to help them achieve their desired goals for themselves, their teams and their business. We love to ask those challenging questions that others might think but not say – this is often where the stuck gets unstuck!

6. What book has shaped your life and why?

This is a tough one! I think the one book that has influenced us all as a team is Jean Oelwang’s book, Partnering – Forge the Deep Connections That Make Great Things Happen. This is what we value most – relationships are everything.

7. Tea, Coffee or something a little stronger?

Nicole: Tea! Phil: Coffee! Kareena: Tea and coffee. .

We all enjoy something a little stronger from time to time!

Leaders will be delivering three workshops on how to Master the Art of Leadership in April, May and June. Visit chamber.com/events for more information.
