Every month we pose 7 questions to a Chamber member; this month it’s new player in the cyber-security sector – 4D.
1. So, who are you?
We’re Stephen Kenealy and Grant Mossman, collectively known as 4D.
We’re a new fully managed and Cyber Security service provider, offering a multi-layered defence strategy, designed for small businesses. Our holistic approach identifies and addresses threats before they can wreak havoc, prioritising the safeguarding of your entire IT environment.
Our service encompasses all essential software and services, ensuring the productivity, competitiveness, and security of your business against the latest cyber threats.
2. How long have you been going?
We’re coming into our third month.
3. And how did you get into this?
We met working for the same company and at the time, identified a gap in the marketplace for clearly understood, affordable and practical packaged Cyber Security solutions to the SME and SMME business sectors.
Many of the larger global players were only focusing on selling to and servicing the enterprise size organisations. We wanted to service smaller businesses.
4. We like your philosophy of ‘People First, Technology Second.’ What’s behind that?
Business is all about people, regardless of your product, service or solution. We are huge advocates of customer first, and customer service being paramount to any engagement. We pride ourselves on being able to build strong, genuine, value-based relationships based on mutual respect and reciprocal benefit.
5. What’s your process for coming up with Cyber & IT solutions/offers?
Our focus is making sure our customers are never compromised, that we simplify the Cyber Security and IT offering to ensure it is always understood and value can always be derived from our services. Taking the breadth of knowledge and experience gained by our Cyber and IT specialists, as well as the fact that we are constantly striving for leading, progressive and innovative partners in the IT and Cyber security field, we apply this to constantly researching the market for the latest advancements.
6. What’s the one book all business owners should read?
The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz. As a founder, it offers practical advice on the toughest of challenges, shares humbling experiences from other founders and lends wisdom to help prepare for the road ahead.
7. Tea, Coffee or something a little stronger?
Coffee – but always up for something stronger! 😊
