We are now over the half way point of our community project, the re-development of the Guernsey Bathing Pools.
The bathing pools development has made great progress over the last few months. We are fortunate to have a great team from RG Falla, Dorey Lyle & Ashman, Henderson Green, Granite Le Pelley and AFM, as well as all the individuals working with Vive La Vallette. Geomarine have now begun the long overdue maintenance on the pools themselves, which includes the installation of an accessible ramp all the way into the water. The Ladies’ Pool, will reopen for the Christmas period before closing again to allow ongoing work restarts in early January. The final completion date will be Easter 2022.
There is an opportunity to make a donation for a cladding strip which will then be used to clad the outside of the newly renovated changing rooms. The boards are a robust and sustainable specification and made from 100% recycled black household waste.
We’ve upgraded our in-house workshop with the addition of a CNC machine so that we engrave the material, allowing supporters of the project to leave their unique mark or message on the building for years to come.
