Sigma, the pan-island business opened a stationery and office furniture store at its Guernsey headquarters on Braye Road, Vale on July 1st 2015.
The store is an extension to its long-standing stationery and furniture supply business which has been serving organisations throughout the Channel Islands for over 80 years.
Sigma’s Jersey branch has had a retail outlet, Collins in St Helier, for a number of years and it has been successful in providing stationery and supplies to smaller businesses and individuals on the Island.
The Company’s Guernsey premises were flooded in July 2014 following some severe storms on the Island and the building has been gutted and refurbished over the last year, creating more space for the showroom and store.
Michele Hockey, Sigma’s Guernsey stationery manager said,
‘Following the disruption that the storm brought to Sigma, it has been great to see something good come out of it!
We have been buying stationery for local businesses for a long time now and with our buying power we thought it would be a great opportunity to pass the benefits of these prices to other customers.’
As well as the more traditional items of stationery such as pens and paper, printers and cartridges, the store also sells creative and school supplies, including a complete range of the cult, vibrant “Posca pens” which are widely used by illustrators and hobbyists.
Sigma shall be holding a “family fun day” on Saturday 25th July as the official launch of the store, from 10 – 2, which everyone is welcome to attend. Supported by local radio Island FM.
Michele added, ‘We shall be having competitions for all age groups on the 25th, with the chance to win lots of prizes, a bouncy castle and lucky dip for the kids and a hog roast, we shall be having a lot of fun and look forward to meeting existing and future customers.’
