Following the public presentation of the plans in November 2019, DLM Architects are pleased to confirm that they have submitted a planning application on behalf of its client, Vive La Vallette LBG (‘VLV’), for the redevelopment of the existing kiosk and changing rooms at La Vallette.
VLV were selected as the preferred party to redevelop this site in late April 2019 by the Seafront Enhancement Group and negotiations continue with Government to ensure that legal documentation is in place prior to commencement on site which will also be subject to statutory planning and building control approvals. In the intervening period DLM together with the VLV team will continue to work with Government, the planners and the many and varied stakeholders to ensure that the redevelopment once completed achieves the overriding objective of providing a community asset which is accessible to all, is well utilised and compliments the surrounding area’.
On behalf of DLM Architects, David De La Mare comments:
“Following a successful period of public engagement, and some encouraging support and feedback from general users, community groups, planning and government we are pleased to submit our detailed proposal to planning. We are excited to be involved with this project that will not only meet the needs of our present community but also be a valuable asset for future generations of users. The development will enhance one of Guernsey’s most beautiful and unique areas making it more accessible and welcoming for the whole island.”
