In these unprecedented times it is a challenge to stay connected with clients and colleagues. The need for professional corporate meetings and events is greater than ever, however social distancing and travel restrictions greatly limit options. To get over this problem, Joys have launched their ‘Virtual Event Studio’. Virtual events enable companies to re-engage with clients, present solutions, and send out a strong and clear message: “We are here, we are with you and we are very much open for business”

The Virtual Event Studio is a cost-effective solution offering all of the production services associated with a TV studio, combined with videoconference technology, enabling any presenters that are not on Island, to be incorporated into the studio, virtually. The Event Studio, in effect, replaces the stage, associated with traditional events, as the space from which presentations and discussion take place. It allows clients to present themselves in a professional manner, and use established presentation tools like PowerPoint to enhance message delivery.

Steve Plevin, General Manager at Joys says “Guernsey is extremely well positioned to host industry events, especially in the finance sector where we have many leading companies based on Island. Our Virtual Event Studio, supported by our talented production team, provides a fantastic facility to help our clients innovate with virtual events. The studio has been designed with audience interaction in mind and, where needed, can utilise “green screen technology” to create very impressive stage settings. Most importantly, events can either be pre-recorded by Joys, or streamed in real-time to a global audience, resulting in a much wider reach than a conventional event would have achieved”

Joys have been delighted with the feedback they have already received from clients. Ian Allsopp, Production Manager at Joys says “we have mentioned the Virtual Event Studio to a few clients and already have events booked. Most surprising is how fast word of mouth travels. Yesterday we were approached by a UK national charity who want us to look after their glittering awards ceremony later in the year. Certainly an event that In the current climate, would have been postponed without our ‘Virtual Event Studio’. Now, this well respected evening is firmly back on the calendar, albeit in a “virtual” form“ but we will still be creating graphics, videos and special effects to give the event it’s usual dynamism”.

Joys operate from extensive premises in Le Foulon Road, St Peter Port. The Virtual Event Studio is social distancing compliant and all hygiene measures are in place.
