Islandmums is thrilled that it will be the new digital home of local meteorological man of mystery – Guernsey Weather Fox.

His extraordinarily detailed and descriptive accounts of what to expect  – come rain, shine, fog and everything in between – are now published on from 1 December 2017.

The partnership is part of Islandmums’ long-term goal to offer relevant and helpful information to local families.

‘The Guernsey Weather Fox does not need any introductions’, says Sasha Kazantseva-Miller, Chief Mummy Officer. ‘He provides a weather forecasting service that’s entirely personalised to our little island, down to which beach to go to depending on wind. I have never seen this level of detail for such a small geography and it’s a privilege to have him as our new broadcasting partner.’

Islandmums’ mission is to improve the quality of life for families in the Channel Islands. It is the go-to place for family related content, including curated what’s on guides, editorial and the popular Family Club membership service.

The Guernsey Weather Fox has over 10 years experience in the field of meteorology and a passion for the weather. He says he always has ‘one eye on the sky and the other looking where he’s going.’

His comprehensive Guernsey-specific weather forecasts are the product of careful consideration of computer model data from a range of international forecasting organisations, as well as local observations, personal experience and historical records.

‘In my fifth year of producing these forecasts, it feels amazing to become a resident of the Islandmums website,’ says Guernsey Weather Fox. ‘It’s just a perfect partnership to help families and individuals to have a fabulous time in Guernsey’.
