This term College of FE have an exciting opportunity to offer performances to primary school students on the island however this requires some additional funding that goes above and beyond our budget. We do not want to have to ask the families of the students to pay for the seats as this may restrict access and also cause unwanted complications for the schools managing classes being split.

The Performing Arts students are undertaking an exciting new production bringing Alan Bennett’s classic Wind in the Willows to the Performing Arts Centre. Our hope this year is to extend the impact of our public performances by offering local primary school children free tickets to allow them to access this exciting live production.

The States of Guernsey are launching a new Joyous and Purposeful curriculum that looks to embed Creativity at the core of young people’s learning. This is a perfect opportunity to start inspiring our younger students with the magic of theatre. We will also be offering some in-school workshops to complement the performances and give the learners some first-hand experience of how the performing arts can build teamwork, listening skills, self-confidence and creative problem solving skills.
