Sancus announce new appointment in their Guernsey office

Chris Taylor appointed Business Development Manager

Sancus BMS Group, the specialist alternative finance firm, is delighted to announce that Chris Taylor has joined the company as Business Development Manager.

Chris will report to Matt Watson (Managing Director) in the Company’s Guernsey office and will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing client relationships for the Sancus Group in the Island.

Chris moves from HSBC where he was a Corporate Relationship Director, moving to Guernsey in 2015. Chris worked primarily with funds, fiduciaries and insurance with a multinational focus.

Sancus launched in Jersey in 2013 as a marketplace lender, opening the Guernsey office in 2014, growing out of the retrenchment of traditional lenders following the financial crisis of 2008. The Group delivers secured, property/asset backed financing and working capital finance to small medium enterprises (SMEs), entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals (HNWIs). Sancus underwrites its loans and then syndicates to its co-funders.

The Group now operates in six jurisdictions, including Jersey, the UK, Gibraltar, Ireland and the Isle of Man* and employs over 50 staff. It has provided in excess of £700m of funding to SMEs and entrepreneurs since inception.
