Careers Guernsey provides free, impartial career information, advice and guidance to people of all ages in Guernsey and Alderney and operates within the States of Guernsey (Education, Sport and Culture). Our team includes professionally trained Careers Advisers to ensure our support provided is impartial and client-centred. We work with schools/Post-16, students, parents/carers to support the delivery of their careers programmes and to provide individual career advice and guidance. We also work with adults looking to change career, develop their career and learning or return to work. Our work includes providing services to the Guernsey Prison, Employment and Social Security, Health and Social Care and charities to support young people and adults in the community.
We help advise on curriculum, strategy and policies within Education and across the States of Guernsey as well as providing insights to employers about school/college leaver and graduate trends.
The Employability team at Careers Guernsey co-ordinate the Guernsey Work Experience (GWEx) and Work Related Learning programmes for schools and employers as well as organising the annual Careers and Skills Show for the island.
