Chamber would like to thank our headline sponsors Sure, along with Carey Olsen, and Ravenscroft for making it possible to host this event.

This sparkling event is a chance for us to come together and celebrate the considerable and diverse community made up by our island’s businesses.

It has been two years and a pandemic since our last annual dinner, but we are back – this time with guest speaker Ruby Wax! Ruby is a renowned comedian, performer, best-selling author, and passionate mental health campaigner for which she has been awarded an OBE.

For this event, Ruby will be considering the key qualities of effective leadership. As Ruby has observed, one hundred billion pounds is lost every year due to staff absenteeism, and one of her missions is to help businesses understand the complicated and ever-increasing pressures of life through showing them how to recognise a mental wellbeing crisis, and how to better communicate with and support clients and colleagues.

“When you begin to relate as one human to another it helps build better teamwork, better connections with the public, your clients, your shareholders, and your employees. It’s your humanness that works as a glue to hold relationships together, not your intellect” – Ruby

Save the date and join us on this early autumn evening for a champagne reception, followed by a three-course dinner and our keynote speaker. This will be a highlight of 2022, and a night to remember!

“We’re looking forward to partnering with Chamber to connect the island’s business community for a night of celebrating everything that makes Guernsey’s businesses so great – see you there!” Alistair Beak, CEO, Sure Group
