Dunnell Robertson Partnership Ltd in Guernsey was established in May 1997 by Drew Robertson and Andrew Dunnell to bring together their experience in the fields of Architecture and Building Surveying. Drew had previously worked for three established Architectural Practices during his time in Guernsey. Andrew previously spent 10 years working as a Building Surveyor for a large local Practice having worked for the Property Services Agency in the UK prior to that. The business brought together a wealth of experience in both commercial and residential property.

The practice has been involved in a broad spectrum of work over the years but in particular, has completed a large number of projects involving commercial property refurbishment and development work. Other areas of work have included residential projects along with the completion on an annual basis of a large number of property surveys and valuations for many clients and financial institutions.

As the Practice has grown it has sought to employ appropriately experienced and enthusiastic staff and this resulted in a need for the Practice to relocate in 2003 to its current offices situated at South Esplanade. Dunnell Robertson Partnership has also developed a working relationship with leading UK consultancy GMA Architecture which has enabled it to successfully complete larger projects such as the Guernsey Post HQ building.

Key staff employed in the practice have wide experience with a combined total of over 100 years of involvement in the Guernsey Construction Industry. The Practice continues to offer Architectural, Interior Design and Building Surveying services with staff able to integrate these as necessary to suit particular requirements and instructions. The philosophy of the Practice remains one of key staff being directly involved with all aspects of a project and with clients having access to these staff as necessary to ensure a satisfactory completion of the commission.

Since its inception the practice has always looked to add value to every project as appropriate with their architectural and surveying skills. This has required us to be innovative, creative, fluent and often bold. Their clients can expect us to interpret their brief armed with a detailed knowledge of what they are trying to achieve, but also with the understanding that we will explore the boundaries of what’s possible in order to surpass their expectations. They pride themselves on being client driven but without ever losing the creative spark that drives everyone in the team to produce the best results.
